I love to travel. Travel to me, means exploring new places, people, culture, local food, celebrations and the lifestyle.
I am also passionate about photography and click pictures on the go, almost anything and everything. Pictures add vibrancy and infuse life to the written content, enhancing the overall perceived beauty of the experience. Over a period of time these become cherished memories of the past.
What
Whenever, I thought of travelling to a new place, I did lot of research beforehand. I was keen to gather as much information as I could about the location because I didn’t want to miss anything interesting.
I would pour through numerous pages and look up for reviews and tips about stay, sightseeing, local markets and local food in particular. Even then, at every new place that I travelled, I discovered many interesting facts that were fascinating and worth experiencing. For example, I would prefer a clean and peaceful place to stay with basic amenities. I prefer facilities such as free internet, hot water, free parking, and good service. If I get these in a decently located place, I would rather avoid splurging on a lavish star facility.
Why
The idea of sharing over the net, struck me when I realized that my first-hand experience may serve as a useful source of information to many interested travelers.
Actually, I realized that it is not just the destination that matters. The journey leading to the destination also adds up to make the trip even more enjoyable. There have been several occasions when along the road or train route (not the air flight though), I came across many new and interesting facets of the trip. This is more prominently noticed during a road trip as compared to any other mode of travel. The simple reason is that it provides you with great freedom to explore as per your wish.
The main advantage of a trip by road is that you own your schedule and time. This gives you immense flexibility to decide about your stop overs for anything at anytime and anywhere you want. Such a flexibility makes the entire trip interesting right from the time you hit the road and till you are back home!
I remember enjoying passing by small towns and even stopping over to buy from local farmers selling their farm products on the highway. Local people sell varieties of seasonal fruits from their orchards, alongside highways or any other major road. Some even sell fruit juices or other produces of the local region, depending upon the season and time of travel. The most common such incidents that I recall, are savoring guavas, mangoes, berries, apples, plums and even sugarcane juice, right beside sugarcane fields!
I hardly noticed information like those mentioned above and similar topics, over the regular internet pages. This is why I felt that it would be useful and handy for any traveler planning a trip to a preferred destination.
How
I intend to share factual experiential information in as much detail as can be possible, including pictures also. I do not like exaggeration and overselling about anything and therefore, rest assured, this page would not carry any such information.
Every individual has own preferences and I respect it and also expect similar understanding towards the content that would be shared here. Having said so, I definitely welcome reader’s suggestions, comments, in order to make the contents more informative, interesting and enjoyable.
